I can bounce back and so can you, at times life can present so many challenges or you might find yourself going through a tough week, month or even a season. Believe me this happens to all of us.
I am generally a highly motivated and ambitious person. I put high expectations for myself and hold my self-accountable. Like for instance when I am developing content for my sites or authoring for other sites, I do not have an obligatory timeline. However I do place timeliness for myself and I am prepared to even sleep late as long as I meet my timelines.

Recently I had a great opportunity to mark some of the professional exams. However this was such a challenging role, I had to tell myself that it was a learning experience whenever you do something for the first time there is a learning curve. But I said to myself “you know what girl you would be back next semester and you will exceed your expectations”

As long as there is breadth in my body there is always a next time.
Funny enough my kids are like me, they get so upset and frustrated if they do not meet their expectations. For instance my eldest daughter came home from school so upset because she has not done as well as she had expected in maths. So I asked her where she thinks she went wrong. She mentioned that since she has got a new calculator she had not yet mastered it. So I advised her to practise using the calculator during school holidays so that she will do well next time. I also advised her to try and focus on her next exam.

The reason being we cannot undo the past but we can reflect and see where we went wrong and make corrections. After that put all our focus on the future and make sure we do well in future.
There are great lessons in the setbacks, mistakes and failures of life. For instance I hate failure so if I underperform this forces me to review everything I have done so that I do not make the same mistake again.

I have heard it said many times that the successful people we see have failed many times before they became a success.

So I choose to bounce back than to live in the misery of what went wrong. I would rather live in the mindset of “learning from my mistakes, setbacks or failures and excel next time.

What techniques do you use to Bounce Back?

i Love this post.
Honestly, for me just knowing that no one will do the work for me or achieve my goals for me if I don’t is a motivation to bounce back and try to get things going again
